In Thailand, instant noodle prices, which have not changed in the last 14 years, will increase. These release reports Star.

The price of noodles produced in the country for a long time was 6 baht (about 10 rubles). However, manufacturers appealed to the government to raise the fixed price to 8 baht as production costs increased due to the global economic crisis.

But the price will increase by only 1 baht, and from August 25 it will be 7 baht.

The decision comes after Thailand’s five biggest instant noodle producers, Wai Wai, Mama, Yam Yam, Sue Sat and Nissin, petitioned the government about rising production costs.

In particular, the price of wheat flour increased by 20-30%. At the same time, it became unprofitable for Thai producers to profit from exports due to rising fuel prices.

It is recorded that the price of noodle last increased in 2008.
