Social media users have criticized an Instagram phenomenon (the owner of Meta has been labeled an extremist organization) for approaching animal shelters with an offer to post about them in exchange for a puppy gift of their choosing. This has been reported Mirror.

In a post on the Reddit social network, the blogger wrote: “Hello. Guys, would you like to cooperate with me? I can provide a carousel post on Instagram and a post on stories (repost on first post). You will need to sponsor me for a puppy of my choosing. Typically, companies sponsor or pay for products. The reason I’m looking for this collaboration is because I’m looking for a companion for my current dog.”

Reddit users suggested that this type of collaboration would be more beneficial for the author than for the shelters.

“Often, these influencers have fewer followers than the person or company they want,” one commenter wrote.

Another expressed concern, “Of course we all want people who just saw the dog in a post from their favorite influencer and went to get it on a whim to get a dog from shelters.

One of the owners of the animal shelters also responded to the comments.

“We get this kind of bullshit all the time. People drive me crazy,” he admitted.
