Steve Rogers had an affair in 1943 while on tour with USO. Marvel doesn’t name the girl, but some seriously believe she could be Star-Lord’s mother Meredith Quill. The reason is actress Laura Haddock. In the movie The First Avenger, she played a girl who was in love with Cap, and a few years later she played the role of Meredith in Guardians of the Galaxy. In the video, the actress appears at 2.30 pm.
The theory quickly spread through the network and earned the attention of James Gunn. According to the director, it makes no sense since Meredith was born sometime in the late 1950s. However, Gunn does not deny that Steve could have slept with her great-aunt.
