A still from the upcoming independent horror film Mickey’s Monster has surfaced online. The image represents the first look at the main character, Steamboat Willie (Mickey Mouse). The role is played by actor David Howard Thornton.
The film is based on the animated short Steamboat Willie, released by Walt Disney in 1928.
The plot of the film adaptation will tell how Mickey suddenly turns into a monstrous flesh-eating creature that wants to kill the passengers and crew of a ferry in New York.
Directed by Steven La Morte. The film will be released in April this year. Filming took place from May to June 2024 in New York.
