In late July, popular YouTuber MrBeast celebrated 100 million subscribers to his channel. The blogger celebrated the achievement by presenting a new reality show along the lines of The Squid Game. The top prize is a newly acquired private island.
100 MrBeast subscribers entered the contest. To win, you had to win four challenges, one of which was inspired by the Red Light Green Light game from the Korean blockbuster.
During the final challenge, players had to find a secret suitcase with a gift button from YouTube. MrBeast thanked all its subscribers and handed one of the participants papers confirming ownership of the island.

MrBeast was one of the first bloggers to decide to run his “Squid Game” in the wake of the show’s popularity. The winner took home $456,000.
