– Conversation “I want and I will!” Let’s start with the project. on the TV channel “Saturday!”. What does “psychological stand-up” mean? How normal is it to confuse the comedy genre with psychology? Is it possible to joke about problems without hurting the customer?
– Psychological stand-up is a show where the presenter answers questions from the audience. There’s room for humor and laughter, but it also touches on serious topics. This is the kind of dramatic where people laugh and cry at the same time. The main thing is not to hurt the client when you open your mouth. It should be noted that within the framework of our television program, no one proposes to do pure science, this program is science pop.
Do you watch classic stand-up? What do you think of the “roasting” where the guest is literally ridiculed? Do you think humor has limits?
I’m watching standup. I love Andrei Beburishvili, the girls of Women’s Stand-Up. I’m watching Roast too. Sometimes they get shaken when they make fun of a person’s physical flaws, but people know where they’re going. By the way, I watched Trump fry when he wasn’t president yet—it was tough there, too. But everything should have limits, including humor. True, psychologically humor is a harmless thing, but irony and sarcasm are pure aggression.
– In one of the interviews, you said that the project has a tight cast and you have to be “handsome” to pass it. Many will tell you that it is unethical to think in terms of external data. What do you think of the “new” ethics? What about feminism, body positivity etc. Trends that are popular right now?
– I’m good with these trends and I’m even willing to admit that I was wrong about the casting…
– Psychotherapy can certainly be called a trend. Is it good or not? How do you explain the growing interest in psychological services?
– It’s definitely a good trend, and I’m explaining it with my own contributions: 30 years ago, my colleagues and I started doing psychology programs on TV and radio, and this contributed to the popularization of psychology. So far, Russia is not yet booming, but the number of people turning to psychologists is growing. People in general have become more conscious and developed in matters of spiritual comfort.
– By the way, what problems are most often complained about today? Have you noticed how customer requests evolve over time?
– Life is not inconsistent, they are unlucky in their personal relationships, they are not able to realize themselves, etc. they complain. In my opinion, requests do not change from year to year.
– Demand creates supply, thousands of “instapsychologists” appear, coaches without specialist training, selling all kinds of information products on psychology – webinars, courses, checklists. What do you think about this topic?
– Bad. Imagine: you come to the hospital with an illness and your doctor has just completed a three-month course in surgery. What are you going to do?
How to choose a good psychologist? What should be considered first of all?
– In order for a psychologist to be good, you must have at least five years of psychological training, have work experience and be comfortable and understandable with him. But most importantly, you should see a positive trend after the second or third meeting. Feel that the problems are starting to resolve and after the third session you feel better than the first session.
– Can therapy be harmful if you turn to a bad specialist?
“Of course it can.
– Today it is also fashionable to turn to astrologers. How to explain the high demand for horoscopes from a psychological point of view?
– Unwillingness to take responsibility for your life.
Horoscope is a delegation of responsibility to glossy magazines.
– Let’s talk about a few public cases, so as not to violate medical confidentiality. Did you watch the case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard? What do you think about public showdowns?
– Tracked with one eye, yes. People like to do everything in public, so they amuse humanity with their reckoning. It’s part of their show.
– Another case is Britney Spears, who regularly posts nude photos on social networks even after a miscarriage. Do you think fans have reason to worry about her mental health?
Fans have reason to worry about his mental health and not him.
– They’re no less worried about Madonna than Britney Spears. The singer posts adult NFT videos while her son wears dresses. What do you think about that?
“I’m trying not to think.
– By the way, in Russia, TV projects about criticism and disclosures, early pregnancy and problems in families are popular. Why do you think people like to watch this? And a show like The Bachelor, where the men choose one woman from among dozens of recommended women?
– People generally love “hot” in all respects: from porn videos to scandals. That’s how psychology works. But who is watching “The Bachelor”, I have no idea. I’m not watching this.
