Will Smith released a video apologizing to Chris Rock for his incident at the 2022 Oscars. On March 28, the actor hit the host of the ceremony for a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who suffers from alopecia.
For the past three months, Smith said, he’s been working on himself and trying to understand what happened in March. The actor said his behavior was unacceptable, so he also apologized to his loved ones.
Smith also assured that his wife was not demanding to protect her – he made the decision to take the stage himself. On that day, the celebrity said nothing to Chris Rock, because for him “everything was like a blur“.
