LVMH, the world’s largest luxury goods group, plans to hire 2,000 people by the beginning of 2023. The personnel crisis occurred against the backdrop of a shortage of skilled workers in the labor market. This has been reported WWD.

“We have a record number of places this year. We have 2,000 vacancies left to fill by the end of the year. We need leather workers, jewelers, watchmakers, sales assistants, hotel and restaurant workers. “If we estimate for 2024, we’re talking about 30,000 vacancies that need to be filled to ensure continuity,” said Chantal Gemperle, VP of Recruitment and Synergy at LVMH.

The company has also made an effort to seek new talents in five French cities and organized school programs for 1.6 thousand students under the age of 14.

In addition, LVMH plans to increase enrollment at the Institute of Advanced Technology, which has graduated approximately 1,400 people in France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany and Japan since its establishment in 2014.
