One of the activities in Britain Wales – a donkey ride along the coast – may be canceled due to the very hot summer. writes about it Wales Online.

Donkey rides have been suspended this week as temperatures exceed +35°C on some of the country’s beaches.

John Nuttall, owner of Donkey Tack UK, which provides the service, said he is concerned about the health of his animals and staff. He said: “We won’t be going out at a certain temperature. I’ll go down to the beach to check the weather in the morning. If there’s no breeze and it’s very hot, we don’t go to the beach. We have to make sure the wind is blowing in the right direction and everyone is comfortable.”

Nuttall noted that if the UK continues to get this hot in the summer due to climate change, it will have to consider selling its donkeys.

“The welfare of animals is paramount, but if we can’t go out, I can’t feed them. “It’s like a farmer who can’t sell his meat,” he said.
