Searching for swimwear before going to sea often risks delays due to the wide range of products in stores. They are knitted, textured and classic swimsuits with straps, one-piece and two-piece, thong and high waisted panties, bandeau bra and straps. It is no longer easy to understand which swimsuits are in fashion and which ones have lost their importance.

“The classic triangle swimsuits with long drawstrings have not lost their position for the second year and remain one of the favorite swimwear of stars and influencers,” says Svetlana Nichushkina, designer, co-founder and CEO of swimwear and essentials brand Lavarice. “Not only is it recommended to wear them the traditional way, you can also wrap the strings around the body.”
According to him there is a micro trend for metal parts this year. The brand places metallic accents on aglets (lace ends) and fasteners. The top also includes low-waisted bikini bottoms and thong swimsuits – in general, the more you show off the body, the better.
One of the most talked about swimsuits of this year is the white Chanel model with black piping around the edges. Similar options are released by the Zara brand and the Russian BelleYou. A scandal broke out on Telegram channels because of the “fake”, but it quickly subsided.

If last year there was still a fashion for calm colors, this year bright and neon dominate. “Color diversity prevails in the 2022 season. Our customers prefer noble tones: chocolate, yellow, emerald and blue, not monochrome. Animal prints are still a must. The pistachio and leopard print are the absolute bestsellers this summer,” says Svetlana Nichushkina.
In her opinion, do not forget about models with glitter or micro-shimmer. These swimsuits are convenient because the tops can be worn not only on the beach, but also for dinner in a restaurant. “For example, Coperni suggests wearing a sparkly bikini top under a shirt to create a simple and striking evening look at the beach dinner,” says Svetlana Nichushkina.
In anticipation of the beach season, the American edition of Vogue magazine has prepared the best swimwear of the season and features models with unusual prints: zigzags, polka dots, flowers and abstract shapes.
