The Mousehole cruise took place as part of a royal visit to the southwest of Great Britain. Elizabeth is reported to have helped her son and wife escape the heat: while temperatures in London and some other parts of the country are recorded as 40 degrees, in Cornwall the thermometers only rise to 31 degrees.
