FX TV channel has released the debut trailer for the miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven. It is based on Jon Krakauer’s book of the same name and tells of a real-life murder that took place in Utah, USA in 1984. Andrew Garfield played the lead.
In the story, devout detective Jeb Pyre investigates the murder of Brenda Lafferty and her young daughter Erica. When the path leads to a Latter-day Saint church, the hero begins to doubt his own faith.
The series also starred Rohan Mead ((Rohan Mead), Scott Michael Campbell (Scott Michael Campbell), Daisy Edgar-Jones (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and others. The director was David Mackenzie (David Mackenzie), known for the films “Any Cost” and “Last Love on Earth”.
