Director Fyodor Bondarchuk spoke for the first time in a long time about his marriage with actress Paulina Andreeva. He revealed the details in his interview Prozvezd.

The 53-year-old director stated in an interview that they are not ashamed of the age difference.

“Yes, the age difference between us is almost 21. So what? So what? I’m happy, I hope he’s happy too (and doing the best I can), and that’s all that matters. I don’t think about anything else; everything else does not seem to be of decisive importance. But the appearance of Paulina had a serious impact on my whole life. I started to live! “I feel this very strongly,” Bondarchuk began.

He also noted that family ties facilitate joint creative activities.

“Of course, we knew we were taking a risk by starting to work together in such an unexpected configuration with Paulina as the author. And talented too! But apparently we were lucky: while working on the series “Psycho” we found a common language and 100 percent mutual understanding. I also remember this: When we met, I immediately asked him to write down his words and sentences. He speaks good Russian, no made-up words, he ties them together the way only he knows how. His language cannot be confused with anything… And he started writing, he wrote on the table, and then “Psychopath” was born. His wife is a workaholic,” the director added.

Paulina Andreeva performs in the theater and tries her hand at screenwriting (the series “Psycho” was released in 2020, and the series “Actresses” in 2023) and dreams of making her debut as a director. Paulina Andreeva said that she is used to being surprised by this combination of talents.
