The size of the incisions for blepharoplasty, liposuction, lipofilling and lip surgery is less than 1 cm, and the incisions are made in places that will be difficult to notice. Artem Kramarenko, a plastic surgeon at Atlas clinics, told socialbites.ca.

“The smallest incisions are made for liposuction, lipofilling, lip surgery and blepharoplasty. Therefore, these operations are considered the least traumatic and least invasive,” explained the surgeon.

The doctor emphasized that an incision of up to 1 cm can be made with lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty.

“An incision is made in the conjunctiva of the lower eyelid to remove fatty hernias and bags under the eyes. “In upper blepharoplasty, the incision will be slightly larger, but it is hidden in the fold of the upper eyelid and is practically invisible,” he said.

According to the doctor, nowadays lipofilling is especially popular among patients where correction of different areas is possible.

“Lipofilling is a technique of transplanting your own fat into the problem area. This may be the correction of upper or lower eyelids, tears and cheek grooves, nasolabial folds. You can also renew the volume of the cheekbone area,” explained Kramarenko.

Kramarenko explained that lipofilling is also used to improve skin quality and rejuvenate.

“This technique is called nanofatgrafting. These are injections of your own fat under the skin. The fact is that fat contains a large number of stem cells that improve the quality, density and texture of the skin,” said the doctor.
