The French Maison Hermes presented a collection of fine porcelain tableware at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. These release reports Hand Decoration.
The products of the house were presented at the exhibition in an unusual space – the designers created a glass installation with multi-colored lighting. In addition to porcelain, the collection also includes chairs with leather seats and cashmere decorative items.
Other fashion houses also took part in the furniture exhibition. For example, designer Philippe Starck reimagined the Dior Medallion chair created in 1947. He redesigned a classic Louis XVI chair and made it out of aluminum to accentuate the silhouette and its facets.
Jonathan Anderson created the Loewe wicker collection. The project was named Knit, Restore, Refresh (“Knit, Restore, Refresh”). The designer is focused on the idea of a second life for everything. The collection includes vases, baskets and small accessories made of wicker and leather.
Philipp Plein has decided to present a furniture collection together with the Dutch furniture brand Eichholtz. It has already signed a contract with a major Italian developer for the design of two luxury residential complexes in Rome and Milan.
Milan furniture fair Salone del Mobile passes 7 to 12 June.
