The third Moscow Interior and Design Week took place in the capital. For four days, from 10 o’clock in the morning, those who wanted to get acquainted with the latest works of Russian design studios, works of masters and collections of furniture factories gathered in front of the Manege Central Exhibition Hall.

However, not only Russians, participants from 30 countries came to the exhibition. Here you can see Uzbek silk pillows from Bukhara Silk, iron cashmere scarves from the UAE, try Kyrgyz hats and sit on a sofa from China. Finishing materials, heated floors, unusual radiators and heated towel rails, made unexpectedly in the Vladimir region – all this was closely examined and examined.

The event was held with the support of the Moscow government – it is not surprising that in the very center of the hall a pavilion was allocated for the capital’s industries and designers, which, according to the participants, they themselves decorated on the eve of the event. exhibition.

“This event has two main purposes. First of all, it is a platform for entrepreneurs to introduce their products, meet people, communicate and learn new things. The second goal is for the residents and guests of our city to learn how many quality, beautiful products our manufacturers produce,” he said. Kristina Kostroma, head of the department, to reporters on the first day of the fair. exhibition.

And in fact, according to participants who did not exhibit for the first time, the Week fulfills its task: even if it is not possible to sell the exhibition directly at the event, there is a chance to make an unforgettable impression on future customers – and they will come back a year later to buy their favorite lamp.

Large manufacturers and household goods stores also took part in the week: “Announce” kitchens, “European Furniture” salon, “Parquet Dvor” company, Design Boom designer furniture stores, Scandinavian furniture salon Innovation Nordic Design and “Empire Ceramics” store. Their stands were adjacent to designer Russian brands already established in the industry.

Interior design experts have chosen the pavilions of the Archpole furniture gallery and the Modenature brand, the streamlined Archipelago armchairs, the St. He immediately noticed chairs from the St. Petersburg brand Delo and ceramic lamps from the studio of Polina Artamonova. And they discovered new brands: wooden tables from Moscow-area furniture factory Uclad, armchairs by Eichel from Kazan inspired by Soviet design but given a new Japanese flavor, and curved shelves from Odingeniy.

The stands of the designer workshops stood out especially against the backdrop of soft, streamlined seats and ascetic wooden tables and shelves. At one of the desks, everyone’s gaze was probably drawn to a wall decorated with painted designer ceramics. Designer Daria Vasilkova’s St. St. Petersburg brand REDA brought painted tiles to the exhibition and showed that their pieces are not wasted, but are used to decorate furniture.

But the most striking thing is not even the tiles, but the colorful decorative frames for Russian-style mirrors made of recycled cardboard. The recycling theme includes decorative pillows made from old jeans.

Recycling and reuse of materials for interior items is now one of the most important and interesting topics. Located in the corner of one of the halls, object design studio iM-ocean exhibited at Week furniture made from recycled paper using a specially developed, though not patented, technology, according to its founders.

Any paper other than laminated paper can be used for this type of furniture. The result is unusual sofas, chairs and tables that at first glance resemble concrete – unusual streamlined shapes that are especially in demand among restaurant interior designers.

Craftsmen also give new life to old barn boards that are up to 50 years old. At the exhibition, various brands presented options for using boards from the old barns of the Russian North, the Urals and Siberia – processed, naturally aged, also called tanned wood is used in wall panels, decorative panels and decoration in rustic and loft style interiors.

Of course, it was almost impossible to fit the exhibition into a day or two.

Smell all the scented candles, sit on all the chairs, touch the rugs and caress the wood of the barn, attend a lecture by Alexandra Sankova, director of the Moscow Design Museum, on what design is, a master class on creating children’s costumes in Russian style – All this permission all day long I can. However, visitors formed a huge queue in front of the entrance and tried to buy everything in the exhibition.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin III. As announced at the end of Moscow Interior and Design Week, 12 cooperation agreements worth 15.6 billion rubles were signed at the event. More than 220 thousand people visited the exhibition for four days.
