Designer and former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham has commented for the first time about her husband’s infidelity with his personal assistant. This was reported by Sun.
According to the publication, Victoria Beckham fought back tears as she spoke for the first time about the pain she experienced following her husband David’s alleged infidelity. The footballer and the designer’s marriage was in danger of divorce after Beckham was accused of having an affair at a training camp in Spain in 2003.
“This was the most unhappy situation I have ever been in in my entire life. It was a difficult time; It was like the world was against us. “We were against each other, to be honest,” Beckham said.
David Beckham added that he “still doesn’t understand how they managed to survive 2003, but he and Victoria know they have to fight for their family.”
Victoria met her future husband David in 1997 at a football match where her Spice Girls bandmate Mel C invited her to. Less than a year after meeting, Victoria and David announced their engagement and were married on July 4, 1999. The couple has four children: sons Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo, and daughter Harper.
