The Canadian Compliance Authority is investigating Ralph Lauren Canada for forced labor in China. writes about it BoF.

Canadian authorities received 28 complaints against Ralph Lauren from nonprofits in June 2022. They accused the brand of exploiting and profiting from the forced labor of Uighurs in its supply chain and clothing factories in China.

Canada’s Responsible Business Ombudsman (CORE) said it has released its first assessment report since the complaints were filed. Ralph Lauren writes that he has business deals with Chinese companies that use or benefit from Uighur forced labor.

The Observer said they are also investigating similar allegations against Canadian mining and real estate investment firm GobiMin and Nike.
