67% of Russians somehow observe household rituals related to the house and cleaning. The Avito Services platform shared the results of the survey with socialbites.ca.

Ten thousand people participated in the survey. The most common traditions include “sit on the road” (65%) and “spit on your shoulder” (63%). At the same time, women turned out to be more superstitious than men – 21% versus 27%.

The most popular ritual among Russians is the tradition of “sit on the road” – this is followed by 65% ​​of respondents. In second place with a score of 63%, there were two traditions at once – spitting over your shoulder and hitting the board so as not to bring bad luck, and also look in the mirror if you return home for something. Another 56% of respondents remember that guests will soon arrive if they drop a fork or spoon.

“Every second Russian said that in their family they often say that it is not possible to go beyond the threshold (51%), do not throw the garbage at night (43%), and 42% believe that it is good to break the dishes. luck,” he says in the statement.

Among the most popular household rituals is the tradition of delaying cleaning while loved ones are on the road (37%) and letting the cat in first (34%) into the new home.
Respondents at least believe that it is unfortunate (27%) to dress inside out and cannot cut their own hair (18%).
