Designer Walter Ciapponi has stepped down as creative director of Tod’s. This is reported by the official account of the brand on social networks.
On Wednesday, July 12, it was announced that Walter Ciapponi will step down as Creative Director of Tod’s in September, following the Spring 2024 Women’s Fashion Show. But representatives of the brand and the designer himself did not comment on the news. A few hours later, information surfaced on Tod’s blog regarding an official appeal from the executive director.
Tod’s announces that Walter Ciapponi is stepping down as creative director. By mutual agreement, the brand announces that the designer is no longer interested in women’s and men’s collections, Tod’s representatives said.
Chief Executive Officer Diego Della Valle added that the new creative director will be announced next month.
“We thank Walter for his journey together, his creativity and his commitment to fashion. Like Walter Ciapponi, we will remember this experience as best we can,” concluded Diego Della Valle.
