Chiapponi will present her latest collection for the brand at Milan Women’s Fashion Week in September. Tod’s did not comment on the designer’s planned resignation.
Chiapponi joined Tod’s in October 2019 and became the Creative Director of the brand’s women’s and men’s collections. Its first collection was presented in the Fall 2020 season. Prior to Tod’s, Ciapponi worked at Bottega Veneta for several years with the brand’s former creative director, Thomas Mayer.
“Chiapponi has managed to design discreet and discreet yet sophisticated luxury clothing collections that reflect the high-end lifestyle and Italian craftsmanship Tod’s represents,” WWD wrote.
