A photo of Camilla in the garden of her Wiltshire home won Cover of the Year at the PPA Awards. writes about it Independent.
Queen Camilla’s portrait was taken by her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. Charles III’s wife is pictured wearing a white and blue floral dress and cardigan while sitting on a bench with a basket full of geraniums.
The photo was featured on the cover of the royal special issue of Country Life magazine. Keeping the identity of the person who took the photo a secret wasn’t easy, according to Paula Lester, the magazine’s editor-in-chief. Lester noted that it was Camilla who asked Kate Middleton to be the author of her portrait.
Country Life editor Mark Hedges said: “The Princess of Wales took so many great pictures and it was hard to choose the best. Royal editor has the final word [Камиллой]Who chose the king’s favorite photo? The last number attended our confirmation meeting.”
PPA awards judges said the cover was “critical for being the tone and center of the issue that became the fastest selling issue in Country Life history.”
