When buying jeans, you must first pay attention to the pattern, side seams and size. Zhanna Kolesnik, the creator of the Tatika Wear brand, told socialbites.ca about this.
The designer recommends that when purchasing an oversized model of jeans, you get your size so that they look like they do in the lookbook. “On the contrary, don’t try to go big by buying another model 1 or 2 sizes up. Classic mom jeans or tubes shouldn’t be tight around your legs, but a comfortable fit is allowed at the hips,” she said.
Zhanna Kolesnik advises paying particular attention to the side seam. “It should be smooth and not move anywhere, because the curved stitching is guaranteed to create the visual effect of curved legs. And, of course, check the fit at the waist: even high-waisted models should not be higher than the navel, otherwise it will make your butt bulky, your torso shorter and larger, ”she explained.
You should not buy a tight denim model with the hope of stretching or losing weight over time. “You will most likely pull the “meat” button on your belt and damage the lock. If the jeans are already hanging on you when you buy them, don’t expect them to fit properly after washing,” the designer shared.
