The Prince and Princess of Wales have arrived in Jordan to attend the wedding of Queen Rania’s son, Prince Hussein. The celebration will take place today, June 1st. writes about it Hello!.
Buckingham Palace has not confirmed that members of the British royal family will be attending the wedding, so the arrival of Kate Middleton and Prince William for the wedding of Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif came as a surprise. The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived in Jordan without their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
This is the first major international event to feature members of other royal families that Prince William and Kate Middleton have attended this year.
Other royal guests have already arrived in Jordan, including Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and her daughter Princess Katarina, Princess Hisako and Princess Tsuguko of Japan, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.
Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif will sit at the wedding table with an Islamic wedding ceremony in the gardens of the Zahran Palace in Amman. About 140 guests will attend the wedding.
