A distinctive feature of the new collection are products made using the matelassie technique, as a result of which a special pattern appears on quilted products. The campaign was inspired by American artist Margaret Keane, famous for her portrayal of big-eyed characters. According to brand CEO Benedetta Petruzzo, Keane’s work reflects the Miu Miu character.

Compared to the same period of 2022, retail sales of the Miu Miu brand increased by 42% in the first three months of 2023 to 129 million Euros. The Miu Miu brand took the second place in the list of the most popular brands published by the Lyst Index platform. In the first place is the fashion house Prada.

Factors behind Miu Miu’s rise in popularity include the high demand for the Pocket bag, a new collaboration with New Balance, and a Paris Fashion Week show featuring fashion phenomena.
