Japanese company Cellato has set a new Guinness record by serving 873,400 Japanese yen worth of ice cream per serving. It has been reported hypebeast.

Japanese ice cream brand Cellato sells the world’s most expensive ice cream: a serving of a sweet treat called Byakuya will cost customers JPY 873,400 (about $6,700). The signature dessert is made from an array of rare ingredients, including edible gold leaf, which costs more than $15,000 per kilo, rare cheeses, sake lees, and white truffles grown in Italy. Tadayoshi Yamada, the chef of the famous RiVi restaurant in Osaka, has been working on a unique ice cream recipe for 1.5 years.

In the future, Cellato plans to launch other desserts with unusual combinations of ingredients. In the near future – ice cream with champagne and black caviar.
