Princess Diana II, the last king of Greece. His letters to Constantine were sold by Dominic Winter Auctioneers for $7,000. New York Post.

The letters were full of sexual innuendo and sassy jokes, and were written on spicy, witty adult postcards from the 1987 GirlsTalk series. The first card depicts a naked man covering his private parts with fig leaves, and the other a woman in underwear. Both cards are signed by Princess Diana: “Dear Tino, with love from Diana. I couldn’t choose which of these cards to send you, I think you’ll like both.”

It is unclear for what purpose the Princess of Wales sent these letters to the king of ancient Greece, who was 19 years older than her, according to the auction house’s website.

“These postcards were not intended for any holiday. Dina must have just seen these postcards and thought of Tino, inspired by the conversation they had at some social reception,” Dominic Winter Auctioneers says.

Also known as Tino, II. Constantine ruled Greece from 1964 until the abolition of the monarchy in the country in 1973. She was a cousin of Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Philip.
