Very dark or light colored countertops, overhead projectors and ready-made furniture make life difficult in the kitchen. This was told to socialbites.ca by Veronika Antelava, head of the interior design department of Mr.Doors.
“I do not recommend using very dark or very light countertops in the kitchen, especially in monochrome and without texture. It is these benches that are most easily polluted and require constant maintenance. You better opt for shades like beige and gray interspersed with patchy texture,” she advised.
According to the designer, choosing the right sink is equally important.
“Peak sinks are inexpensive, but not very practical: crumbs constantly clog at the joints of such sinks and food residues accumulate, which is not only unhygienic, but also damages kitchen furniture over time. And if you are not used to regular general cleaning, it is better to choose a cast sink, ”she explained.
Buying ready-made kitchen furniture to save money will also complicate life, according to Veronica Antelava.
“Ready-made kitchen sets, including temporary ones, will not be able to meet the needs of their owners, they will only cause inconvenience and spoil the overall stylistic appearance of the kitchen space. By ordering furniture according to individual parameters, you not only provide yourself with comfort in further processing, but also use every square centimeter of space, and ergonomics in the interior is now at the forefront, ”explained.
