In 2018, shortly before his death, fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld collaborated with Christofle to create Mood’s custom silver suit set. The egg-shaped body and cutlery are embellished with a graphic Art Deco motif in mirror-polished silver and glossy black lacquer. Only 1.5 thousand copies were created, which sold out soon after publication.

Christofle has captured the final set of Karl Lagerfeld Mood and put it up for auction. The product is expected to sell for at least $10,000.

The copy on sale is one of the particularly rare black lacquered versions embroidered with the Christofle crest and signed by Lagerfeld. The egg-shaped case contains a 24-piece silver-plated cutlery set.
