The Addams Family and Wednesday article made a surprise appearance at the BAFTA Television Awards held in London on 14 May. Photos from the event have been released daily mail.
A fictional character from the Addams Family (a human hand that serves as the Addams family’s servant, constant companion and pet) appeared on the red carpet of the BAFTA Awards ceremony. El “posed” for photographers with a stylish black bowtie. Daily Mail reporters drew attention to Things’ “messy nails”, noting that one could “refresh one’s manicure” for such a prestigious event.
In the original television series The Addams Family, the Thing merely protruded from various drawers, and in later works took the form of a severed right hand that could move freely on its fingertips like a spider in Addams House and beyond. This thing does not know how to talk, but communicates with its owners using gestures. The Netflix series The Thing comes out Wednesday as Morticia (Catherine Zeta Jones) and her husband Gomez (Luis Guzmán) send their naughty daughter (Jenna Ortega) to Nevermore Academy.
