Journalist Omid Scobie, a friend and biographer of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, explained why the Duchess of Sussex declined an invitation to Charles III’s coronation. It has been reported Mirror.
According to Omid Scobie, Prince Harry’s wife refused to attend the celebration because she was “not comfortable or welcome enough”.
“While Carl is clearly interested in increasing diversity, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that Duchess Meghan, the only non-white royal family member (and mother of only mulatto children in the Windsor household), doesn’t feel comfortable or attractive. It’s enough to be there,” Scobie said.
Meghan Markle was the only member of the Charles III family not to attend the ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6. Last month, a biographer for Dukes of Sussex said that Meghan Markle will miss the coronation of Charles III on May 6 due to the birthday of her son, Archie Harrison.
