If you go on a picnic without a refrigerator, you should not take perishable foods, especially salads with mayonnaise. Ekaterina Stepanova, an infectious disease specialist at H-Clinic, told socialbites.ca about this.
According to the doctor, food poisoning and intestinal infections are mostly caused by spoiled food due to improper storage.
“The longer the product is stored, the more infections or toxin doses can be acquired. That’s why you shouldn’t take perishable foods such as boiled sausage or salad with mayonnaise when you go on a picnic without a refrigerator, ”she explained.
The infectious disease specialist also warned against overeating, noting that digestive enzymes are unlikely to help if there are problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
Overeating in chronic diseases of the stomach, pancreas, liver and gallbladder can lead to hospitalization, for example, with acute pancreatitis. And then taking enzymes and waiting for the condition to improve will only waste time, ”the doctor warned.
In order not to have stomach problems after the picnic, Stepanova advised me to take more fresh vegetables and fruits, less meat and bread to nature.
“The main thing is to wash the vegetables and fruits well and fry them well so that the inside of the meat does not remain raw,” he added.
Formerly doctor Khalaidzheva warned from taking analgesics for abdominal pain.
