Kate Middleton arrived at the service at Westminster Abbey in a floor-length Alexander McQueen gown made of snow-white silk crepe embroidered with silver thread. Embroidery on the dress of the Princess of Wales was made in the form of flowers – symbols of the four countries of Great Britain: roses (England), daffodils (Wales), shamrocks (Ireland) and thistle (Scotland). Prince William’s wife donned a floral headdress from a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen collaboration instead of the traditional family crown.
A similar image, but in miniature, was on the daughter of eight-year-old Charlotte Kate Middleton.
