The five-story mansion at 129 East 73rd Street on the Upper East Side was designed by architect Stanford White in 1906 and restored in 2005 by designer Diamond Barratt. The house is really huge: it has 20 rooms, 10 bathrooms, several kitchens, offices, a library, a basketball court and a patio. All floors and counters of the mansion are marble, and the ceiling of one of the kitchens is completely glass.

Konak became famous thanks to the movie The Devil Wears Prada, starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. The house is featured in the episode where Hathaway’s character, aspiring journalist Andy Sachs, comes to give him a book by fashion editor Miranda Priestley, played by Streep.
