Three dresses that formerly belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales, were found in a second-hand shop in Hampshire, England. Related reports daily mail.
We are talking about three dresses that the late Princess Diana wore in the 80s of the last century. Diana wore the first fitted plaid dress at the Braemar Highland Games in September 1982. The latter – a turquoise overcoat – posed for photographers for an official portrait with her husband, Prince Charles, and their sons, Harry and William. It is noteworthy that this jacket was sewn for Diana by British fashion designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel, who once created the princess’s wedding dress. The third find is a turquoise dress made of fine silk that Lady Dee wore during her 1983 trip to Australia and New Zealand.
The dresses were apparently taken to a secondhand shop in Hampshire by Sarah Ferguson Susan Mary Wright, mother of the Duchess of York. Presumably at some point, Diana gave the clothes to Sarah, with whom the princess had always had close relationships. However, it is unknown why Sarah’s mother decided to buy the clothes secondhand.
After being found in a second-hand shop, Princess Diana’s dresses were put up for auction and then transferred to a museum in Hampton Court, where the royal ceremonial outfits, along with other monarchs’ clothing, are kept in the royal collection.
