Italian princess Rita Genrette Boncompagni Ludovisi is expelled from the palace inherited from her husband, Prince Nicolò. It has been reported New York Post/

The Texas native, a former actress known as Rita Carpenter, was on Thursday April 20, with gendarmes forced to abide by the Roman court’s ruling and expel the aristocrat from the family villa of her husband, Boncompagni-Ludovisi. The reason for the evacuation was the improper maintenance of Rome’s historic building “Villa Aurora”, so a wall collapsed, blocking a nearby street.

In January of this year, the Roman court ruled that everyone living in the house must leave the building by Wednesday, April 19, otherwise they will be deported by the police on Thursday, April 20. Also, the police have to occupy the building, change the locks, destroy the furniture and documents that will remain there.

Rita Genrette Boncompagni Ludivizi previously fought for the right to live in the $533 million villa left over from her husband’s death in 2018. His family claimed to have restored the building with his wife, who has lived in the building since the 17th century. Rita Carpenter called the decision to kick her out of the house, where one of her rooms had the ceiling painted by Caravaggio, as unexpected and unfair.
