Italian house of Valentino donates vintage clothes to fashion schools

Italian fashion house Valentino has announced the third part of its Vintage project, in which it increases the number of partners among vintage stores. It has been reported www.

The initiative was launched in October 2021 when the brand encouraged former owners of Valentino products to rent them from select secondhand stores in exchange for credits to spend on items from the house’s new collections. Last year, the Italian fashion house kicked off the second phase of the project by announcing its collaboration with four second-hand stores in Milan, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The brand has completed the collaboration, confirming partnerships with Madame Pauline in Milan, The Vintage Dress in Tokyo and New York Vintage in New York, adding The Plaisir Palace in Paris, Rellik in London and Recess in Los Angeles. The brand has also partnered with 1 Granary, a London-based design education platform that brings together students from more than 30 fashion schools. As part of its repayment offer, Valentino will donate five vintage Valentino pieces to each school: ED in Milan, Coconogacco in Tokyo, Parsons School of Design in New York, French Fashion Institute in Paris, Central Saint Martins in London, College of Art and design Otis in Los Angeles and ESMOD in Seoul.
