Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, described Seoul as “a cultural hub that continues to capture the world’s attention” and a cosmopolitan city that “shares a spirit in common with Louis Vuitton in terms of innovation, rediscovery of creativity and nurturing sharpness”.

The brand announced the collaboration between Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton Women’s Creative Director, and Hwang Dong Hyuk, reflecting “Louis Vuitton’s commitment to highlight and showcase local culture and artistic excellence on a global scale.” The brand plans to invite 100 local design students among 1,600 guests to the fashion show.

Ghesquière collaborated with French artist Philippe Parreno for their last Paris show.
