The giant amusement park in Kent, England, which was announced in 2012, is unlikely to be built. This post appeared Sun.
Planned to be built on the Swan Peninsula in Kent with Hollywood studio Paramount, the park, called London Resort, was supposed to be the UK’s largest – opening six years after its construction was announced. In addition to attractions, it was thought that a hotel and a water park would be built inside. Recently, however, it became known that London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH), the developer behind the park’s construction, has filed for bankruptcy, casting doubt on its construction plans.
“I now believe this plan has hit rock bottom,” MP Gareth Johnson told The Sun.
After the developer announced the transition to financial management, a nature reserve would most likely appear on the site of the proposed park.
Another MP, Adam Holloway, noted that plans to build an amusement park have created uncertainty over the fate of the peninsula in recent years.
“Many local merchants and entrepreneurs were unable to take responsibility and invest due to the uncertainty surrounding the site,” he said.
