Dunhill brand chooses new creative director

Simon Holloway has been appointed creative director of British menswear brand Dunhill. He will present his first collection for the brand in February 2024 in London. writes about it WWD.

Holloway replaces Mark Weston, who left Dunhill’s creative director position at the end of 2022 after more than five years with the company. Weston resigned shortly after new CEO Laurent Malecase took over.

“Simon’s understanding of quality and craftsmanship and a clear understanding of Dunhill’s DNA will enable us to continue to innovate with timeless, relevant and relevant products,” said Malecaze.

Holloway described the house’s founder, Alfred Dunhill, as “an innovator and one of the most influential British trendsetters of the 20th century”.

The company said Holloway’s appointment “reinforces Dunhill’s focus on core British heritage, innovation, functionality and masculine elegance”. The brand is best known for its luxury country style clothing and accessories.

Prior to joining Dunhill, Holloway served as creative director at Agnona and Purdey and held senior creative positions with brands such as Hogan, Jimmy Choo, Narciso Rodriguez and Ralph Lauren.
