London City Airport has become the first major airport in the UK to significantly expand the limit on the amount of liquids that can be carried in hand luggage. It has been reported Guard.
From Tuesday, April 4, the airport is lifting the 2006 restriction, as passengers can only take shampoos, toothpastes, lotions, creams and other cosmetics in hand luggage in bottles of no more than 100 ml.
The liquid limit has been increased to 2 liters as the airport has updated its passenger baggage scanning system to provide 3D images of the contents of passengers’ hand luggage.
In addition, passengers will not have to remove electronic devices from their luggage while going through security, as they can also be scanned by the new electronic system.
