French fast food chain McDonald’s will start using reusable tableware. It has been reported hypebeast.
To comply with local laws, the French McDonald’s chain will serve its meals in reusable containers made in the aesthetic of the restaurant’s branded packaging. High-strength containers and utensils are made from a special plastic resin that helps preserve the taste and smell of food without compromising the material over time. From now on, cold drinks will be served in clear plastic cups, and french fries and nuggets will be served in red ribbed cups.
“The Waste Control Act is not just the end of plastic straws. Take a look around: France is going through changes to change our consumption patterns and reduce waste. We aim to do this worldwide. Let’s change the game!” French President Emmanuel Macron wrote when reusable containers were first tested last year.
