The Stella McCartney brand used sheep, cows, rabbits, chickens and other animals living at The Gentle Barn in Santa Clarita, California, in an ad campaign for its Spring 2023 collection. It has been reported WWD.

In addition to the pets in the shelter, the star of the campaign was Madeline Cline, who loves animals.

Fashion designer Stella McCartney’s spring collection is dedicated to the work of Japanese artist Yoshimoto Nara, known for both his drawings and radical “punk” expressions referred to as prints on clothes.

According to the brand’s description, the footage aims to “show how to love animals in the fashion industry” as well as highlight “the basic idea that all living things are equal”.

“Now my mantra is: “We are what we eat. We are what we wear.” The choices we make have an interconnected effect, and if we are to change history and save our planet for future generations, action must be taken by us, from eating meat in the name of fashion to stopping the endless chain of animal deaths.” said Stella McCartney.

The campaign was photographed by Theo Wenner.
