Fashion house Chanel will present 200 images at an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. writes about it Guard.

The pink tweed two-pieces worn by actress Lauren Bacall at Biarritz in 1959 and the minimalist black silk pants worn by fashion editor Diana Vreeland in New York will be among the outfits Gabrielle Chanel: Fashion Manifesto showcases in London this fall.

The new Chanel exhibition will be significantly expanded from previous versions in Paris and Melbourne. Out of 200 outfits presented at the exhibition, 122 are new. Among the newcomers, for example, are items from the personal wardrobe of mid-century supermodel Anna Gunning. The clothes were donated to the museum by her family after the model’s death in 1990.

The exhibition will cover Chanel’s seventy-year career. The oldest piece on display will be a 1916 sailor-neck blouse, and the newest will be a pale pink dress from her latest collection.
