Knitted mesh garments give the impression that denim jackets match sailor shirts, while jeans are layered over tight skirts. The collection includes not only women’s looks but also men’s looks such as printed t-shirts, jeans, fitted coats and more.
Prices for the items range from €320 for t-shirts to €1.3k for jackets.
Martens is the second guest designer at Jean Paul Gaultier, after Sacai’s Chitose Abe. After Jean Paul Gaultier decided to stop creating collections on his own in January 2020, he decided to invite different designers to create unique lines.
Glenn Martens was hired by Jean Paul Gaultier shortly after graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2008 and became the young designer for the G2 womenswear and menswear collection.
