A court of law in Paris has dismissed the lawsuit filed by French President Emmanuel Macron against two women who said his wife, Brigitte, had changed gender. France24 pursuant to court decision.
According to the publication, the civil court dismissed the claim because it found the statement chosen by the prosecution to be false. While the plaintiffs sought damages for the violation of their privacy rights, the court ruled that the prosecution version should qualify as public libel. Macron filed a lawsuit in criminal court with this statement simultaneously with the civil lawsuit, the trial continues in February 2022. According to Brigitte, the defendants manipulated her data on reference sites.
The defendants spread the information that Brigitte Macron was born male and has changed gender. The wife of the President of France has three children.
