Edwin Castro, who won the biggest Powerball jackpot in history at $2.04 billion in November, spent $25.5 million to purchase a five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills. According to the Times, it was the most expensive real estate sale in Hollywood Hills this year.

Facilities in Castro’s new home include a swimming pool, cinema, wine cellar, games room, steam shower, gym and sauna. The house was initially asked for $30 million. The deal expired on March 1, two weeks after California lottery officials publicly revealed Castro’s identity under state law.

Castro got a lucky ticket from one of the stores in California. It brought him a jackpot of more than $2 billion on November 8. Rather than receive the money incrementally over 29 years, it chose to make an instant lump sum of more than $997.6 million.
