Kylie Minogue, 54, has joined the list of celebrities who refused to perform at Charles III’s coronation on May 6, 2023 in London. Earlier, Adele, Elton John, Harry Styles, Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran had announced that they would not be able to attend the holiday concert.
“Unfortunately, Kylie Minogue will not be able to perform at the coronation of Charles III as she will be out of the country at the time,” the singer’s representative told reporters.
Kylie Minogue is a frequent guest at royal events. The most recent was Queen II in 2018. She performed at a gala concert on the occasion of Elizabeth’s 92nd birthday. After his death last September, the singer also paid tribute to the deceased monarch. In a social media post, she wrote: “Queen II. On occasions where I had the honor of being in Elizabeth’s presence, I was in complete awe of her energy and aura. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace”.
