Jeff Bezos’ $500 million superyacht Koru, codenamed Y721, owned by Amazon, sailed into the North Sea. writes about it new york post.

The tests of the 127-metre ship took place a few months after the yacht was scheduled to be handed over to the 59-year-old billionaire. She left Rotterdam in mid-February and set sail.

Koru’s operation will cost approximately $25 million per year. The ship can accommodate 18 guests and will require a crew of 40 sailors to serve them. The yacht is made of aluminum and steel and has three decks, one with a swimming pool.

The ship will be accompanied by a helipad, cars, jet skis, speedboats and possibly even a smaller 75-metre support ship that will house Bezos’ personal submarine.

The billionaire’s still unfinished yacht sparked controversy last year after reports that Dutch authorities would have to demolish the historic Koningshaven Bridge as the 40-metre steel structure would block the ship’s 70-metre masts from passing through.
