Most Russians are ready to spend up to 5,000 rubles on March 8 to organize a gift, treats and a holiday. As research conducted by the online food delivery service SberMarket by socialbites.ca and the research agency Rusopros shows, 81% of respondents are ready to share this amount on the occasion of the holiday.
“At the same time, 13% of respondents plan to allocate 5,000 to 10,000 rubles this day, and 6% – more than 10,000 rubles,” the service representatives added.
They also learned that the majority of those surveyed will celebrate March 8 at home – their share was 62%. 19% of respondents plan to get together with family or friends, and 8% plan to go to a cafe, restaurant or movie theater.
Women stated that they expect to receive flowers (56%), candy and chocolate (41%), and perfume (37%) from their relatives as gifts.
“At least Russian women are waiting for tickets to events and outfits,” the study’s authors said.
49% of men surveyed will give flowers. Desserts and chocolate will be offered at 37%, cosmetics – 22%, perfume – 17%. At the same time, at least certificates, a trip to a spa or beauty salon, and event tickets were called for.
